The Community 1 District Police are investigating circumstances under which a woman allegedly inserted raw pepper into the anus and on the penis of a 17-year-old student in Tema.
The suspect, Vivian Abena Arku, works at the Team Port and lives at Community 4 with the victim, who happens to be her nephew.
According to a family source, the lady usually maltreats the nephew, whose mother lives in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
The source revealed that when the ordeal became intolerable, the student reported the matter to his grandfather, who also lives at Community 5.
Other family members ordered the victim to report the case to the police for the necessary action to be taken.
A police source, who further confirmed the story, said that Vivian Abena reportedly admitted the act during interrogation.
The police source, however, hinted that an invitation was extended to the parties involved for a meeting on Tuesday, 23rd May 2017 for a resolution of the matter.
Information gathered by DAILY GUIDE indicates that some members of the family are making frantic efforts to amicably settle the matter at home.
