New Generation Care Foundation Extends Helping Hand

A non governmental organisation which supports the less privileged in deprived communities and urban slums has organised free medical screening for the people of Dzodze Kave, Gbedekofe at Aflao, Vakpo, Agbozume in the Volta region as well as Old Tafo in the Eastern region.

The exercise which took place catered for women mostly the aged and children and was aimed at rendering free healthcare delivery as well as sensitize residents on the importance of ensuring good personal hygiene.

The event, which is organized periodically to improve the lives of people living attracted over 300 participants who benefited from free screening as well as other general health practices.

The programme was also to sensitize the youth on bad eating habits which result in cardiovascular diseases.

Chief Executive Officer of New Generation Care Foundation, Frederick Worwui speaking to the media, however, charged Ghanaians to take active interest in keep fit exercises to ensure a healthy lifestyle.

He expressed his gratitude to the NGO as well as the participants for contributing towards the success of the exercise.

Beneficiaries of the exercise were taken through diabetic test, hypertension, malaria and BMI (body mass index).

The are also offered free medication and educated on the importance of living healthy.

Home services are offered to stroke patients who can't walk to the screening ground.
