Assembly Members Confirm Techiman North DCE Nominee

Assembly members of Techiman North District Assembly has confirmed the District Chief Executive nominee for the area Mr Peter Mensah. He was fully endorsed by scoring 100% .

All the 34 Assembly members voted for him in an election supervised by the electoral commission.

Addressing the Assembly members, the president member for the Assembly, Hon Julius Amegashi said since they were voted into office as Assembly members, they have put all their political affiliations aside and are working as a team and in unity to ensure the development of the district.

He added that because they all want the development of the district, the election will be based in national lines and not political, ethnic or tribal lines.

Before the elections, the Bring Ahafo regional minister Hon Lawyer Kwaku Asomah Kyeremeh together with the member of Parliament for the area Hon Martin Oti Gyarko pleaded to the Assembly members to think of progress and development in the area and vote for the nominee.

The former Member of Parliament for the Techiman North constituency Hon Alex Kyeremeh urged the assembly members to respect the President by voting for the nominee. "The only respect you can show to the president this very moment is by voting for the nominee to ensure development " He said.

In his acceptance speech, the DCE elect Hon Peter Mensah thanked the president His excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo for the appointment.

He was also grateful to the Assembly members for endorsing him and asked for the support of all to ensure progress and development in the district.
