Accra, May 10, GNA - The National Communications Authority (NCA) on Tuesday said it has not issued licence to any company by name "Infinite Stream" to operate in Ghana.

"The NCA further stresses that no frequency has been issued within the GSM 1800 MHz Band for use by any Internet Service Provider", a statement signed by Major John Ray Kwabena Tandoh (rtd), Acting Director General of NCA said in Accra.

It said the Authority had taken note of some concerns raised by stakeholders relating to the communications industry and indicated that such concerns would be addressed at appropriate forums soon to be held by the NCA.

It announced that on May 17, which is World Telecommunications Day, a Consumers Assembly would be organized in Accra by the NCA to offer all operators in the industry a platform to discuss and respond to their concerns and complaints.

Similar assemblies would later be held at the regional and district capitals on regular basis to address the concerns. The NCA appealed to all stakeholders and consumers to participate in activities of the Authority to build a credible communications industry for Ghana.
