Tourism development in Volta Region of Ghana has been the lowest and poorest among all things considered by MMDCE's in the region.

The region, which is noted to have some interesting tourist sites like the Wli Waterfalls, Mount Afagja, Tafi Atome Monkey Santuary and many others. Has over the years been under exploited due to the poor maintenance cultures, poor access roads and poor management has plundered the tourism sector in the region.

Other underdeveloped tourist centers in the region include the mountain Gemi with caves in Amedzofe,

Xavi bird at Akatsi district, fort Prezenstien at Keta, the fifth landing stage (Torkor Atorlia) at Anloga, Wenya well at Tegbi just to mention but a few.

The region is also blessed with memorable historical centers, which are; the Torgbui Tsali's residence at Anyako, Estuary Anyanui, Dudu and Fiaxor at Tegbi the only islands at keta district, all these sites and historical areas are across the North, South, East and West of the region.

*As youth group, we believe the right time has come for our people to patronage what nature has endowed us with. Let embrace our culture of oneness, unity and power.*

In view of this, we therefore, charge the newly appointed and elected MMDCE's in the region, to consider the prioritization of the development of the tourism and historical sites, us one of the sector's to help increase their revenue mobilization and create jobs for the teeming youths in the region.

We furthermore, advice all the MMDCE's to allocate part of the *One Million US Dollars*per district to the coordinating councils as a matter of urgency to begin works on all our tourist sites which we envisage we add upto economic activities in the region.

*Our histories cannot be completely told without mentioning tourism and culture, so let it be our priority areas.*

Thank you.
God bless Volta Region.
God bless mother Ghana.
