Akim-Oda Zone Association of Educational Accountants elect officers

Akroso(E/R), April 30, GNA - Educational Accountants in six districts drawn from 18 Senior High Schools have elected a seven- member executive to handle the activities of the Association.

The executive members are Mr Adjei Kwarteng, chairman, Mr Emmanuel Sangmar, vice chairman, Mr Jonathan Sangber - Dery, Secretary, Mr Okyere Darko Felix, Organiser among others.

The Accountants were drawn from; Birim South, Birim Central, Akyemansa, Denkyembour, West Akyem and Kwaebebirim districts, while the schools included St Thomas Senior High Technical school (SHTS), St. Roses SHS, Akim Swedru SHS, Oda SHS, Akokoaso SHTS, Attafuah SHTS, and Made SHTS.

The executive were sworn- in by Mr Theophilus Amankwaa, Guest Speaker at the programme, who is also the Eastern Regional Educational Accountant.

Mr Amankwaa commended the members for their efforts at forming the association at the zonal level to enhance dissemination of information.

He said there was the need to expand and enhance accountability by professionally educating the people on proper record keeping on transactions, supervising stores, kitchen updates though there were domestic bursars and the storekeepers.

He also appealed to them to constantly submit their financial returns on time to the regional office.

Mr Adjei Kwarteng, the chairman for the Oda Zone Association of the Educational Accountants assured that, the executive would a good job.
