Accra May 5, GNA- The Chinese Government on Thursday donated five computers with accessories, worth over 5,000 dollars, to boost the modernisation programme of the Ministry of Tourism and Modernization of the Capital City.
The donation followed a request by the sector Minister to the Chinese Ambassador, Mr Zhang Keyuan.
Mr Zhang, who presented the items, expressed the hope that it would help in monitoring the city-planning programme. He said China would assist Ghana to plan and develop its cities to make the modernisation efforts a success.
Mr Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey, the Minister said the donation would help the Ministry to coordinate the modernization process properly. Mrs Bridget Katsriku, Chief Director of the Ministry, appealed for means of transport to facilitate the effective monitoring of the modernization programme.
