Accra, April 24, GNA - Mr D.O. Odamptey, Chairman of the 1994 Old Students Association of the Osu Presbyterian High School, has urged old students to help tackle some of the challenges facing the school.

He said it would be a worthy course for all year groups of the School to unite to raise the image of their alma mater in the form of giving back to the institution for succeeding generations.

Mr Odamptey gave the advice at the bi-annual congregation of the 1994 year group to interact and brainstorm on the way forward to assist the school.

As part of the group's commitment to support society, the members decided to pay the fees of brilliant but needy students of the School, a gesture they shown last year, with the Chairman picking three students this year to support.

Mr Odamptey said it was their intention to increase the number of such students annually as God improved their fortunes and substance.

He asked members to show commitment and consistence in the payment of dues so that more developmental initiatives could be taken up.

Mr Kweku Bondzie Ampah, the Treasurer of the Association said such meetings were very relevant because it opened up opportunities for members apart from socialisation and networking effect.

He said plans were far afoot to tackle some of the developmental deficiencies in the science block of the school in the not-too-distant future to promote the learning of science.
