APR 25, 2017 LISTEN

The Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) of the opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) chapter of the University of Education - (UEW-K) Kumasi Campus, has sworn in fifteen (15) Executives to stir affairs of the party youth wing at the University.

The swearing-in ceremony took place at the University's new auditorium yesterday (Sunday) Evening.

The Newly sworn in TEIN President, Denis Andaban was overwhelmed for the opportunity accorded him to serve the party. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all TEIN members for given him the mandate to serve the party at the University community.

" I express my gratitude in all sincerity to all TEIN members for giving me this mandate to serve the party and country. I also thank the outgoing executives for their selfless contributions to TEIN during their tenure of office."

He further assured party aficionados that his team will never renerge on their promises, adding "TEIN UEW-K is ready to sacrifice for the party to ensure a come back to power in 2020."

Mr. Andaban who double as the deputy communication officer for Daffiama-Bussie-Issa constituency in the Upper West Region, explained to the gathering why NDC lost the 2016 election and the need to restructure the party ahead of 2020 Election.

"I want to put on record that the loss of our party in the 2016 elections is not because the government did not deliver to the people of Ghana but because there was a vast gab between party and government. Our grassroot which has been the heart of our party was never resourced and recognized enough, to keep the spirit of the party alive as a socialist party"

Mr Andaban, a B.A English Language student told Class News Maxwell Attah, in an interview that, the future of the party belongs to the youth and will not support anybody to collapse party by actions and inactions that are parochially motivated.

According to him, the issue of who becomes the leader of the party in 2020 Presidential Election is needless and premature, he therefore pleaded that no room should be created for media cabal to score political points to the party disadvantage.

"The issue of who becomes the leader of our party is needless and premature, we have more competent and credible people in our party and working in unison is what is more important at this critical moment under opposition." Mr. Andaban told Class News.

He cautioned party big wigs to desist from making divisive pronouncements on the media to solve problems of NDC.

In attendance were Brogya Genfi Ashanti Regional youth organiser, Joseph Yami former Deputy Ashanti Regional minister and Sam George MP for Ningo Prampram.

Others were Godwin Bobobee Ashanti Regional communication member, Abigail Elorm 2016 NDC Parliamentary candidate - Fanteakwa South Constituency, Ofori Agyemang Boadi popularly known as king Zuba former MCE for obuasi municipality.
