Chief commends President Nana Akufo-Addo

Gomoa Pomadze (C/R) April 22, GNA - The Guantoahene of Gomoa Ajumako Traditional Area, Gomoaba Nana Apata Kofi V, has commended the President, Nana Ado Dankwa Akufo- Addo for inviting his predecessors and former Presidents to discuss crucial issues concerning the socio-economic development of the country.

Addressing members of the Gomoa-Pomadze Town Development Committee at Pomadze, at the weekend, Nana Apata Kofi described President Akufo Addo's move as, ' excellent initiative,'' worthy of emulation by all Ghanaians, irrespective of their political, religious, and ethnic affiliations.

The Guantoahene who is also the Chief of Pomadze, advised leaders of the various religious organisations, political Groups, Clans and institutions to learn useful lessons from what he further described as a divine-oriented action.

He said that, Nana Ado Dankwa's move first in the history of the country's political administration, would definitely yield fruitful results because it would generate a higher sense of co-operation, understanding and a deeper sense of togetherness among the citizenry and eventually pave the way for rapid development.

He expressed the hope that, millions of level-headed Ghanaians would fully embrace, and accord President Akufo Addo with great respect for making such a giant effort at bridging the brotherly gap between the NPP-led National Administration and the three brilliant past Presidents.

Nana Apata Kofi appealed to the three past leaders, President Jerry John Rawlings, President John Agyekum Kofuor, and President John Dramani Mahama , to strive to sustain and maintain the high level of leadership and statesmanship qualities they had cultivated, which virtually influenced them to accept the sitting president's historic invitation.

The Guantoahene stated that, by their action, the three former Presidents had proved that their continued commitment towards the attainment of national goals and preparedness to inject useful suggestions and ideas to support Nana Addo Dankwa's administration when the need arose.

Nana Apata Kofi extended special gratitude to the three former presidents for their high sense of nationalism and prayed that, the Almighty God would bless them to support the current administration to succeed.

Turning to the citizenry, Nana Apata Kofi charged them to always see themselves as members of one great family fighting tirelessly for the common good of the nation and not enemies as some of them might perceive due to partisan difference.
