University administrators honour the memory of late Yebo-Okrah

Kumasi, April 21, GNA - The Ghana Association of University Administrators (GAUA) has instituted a Memorial Lecture in honour of the late Mr. Kobby Yebo-Okrah, a registrar of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and founding member of the Association.

The annual lecture is in recognition of his immense contribution to the growth of the association and to motivate the other members to give it their all in their respective institutions.

The memorial lecture was officially launched in Kumasi on Friday under the theme 'Modern trends in university administration and management - contributions of Kobby Yebo-Okrah'.

Mr. Mathew Asare, National President of GAUA, described the late Yebo-Okrah, the ninth Registrar of the KNUST, as a genius who transformed the face of public university administration.

His sense of duty, innovativeness, humility and patriotism helped to motivate other administrators to strive for excellence in their work, he added.

He indicated that the lecture would be used to raise awareness of the role of administrators in achieving the overall corporate objectives of public universities.

Mr. Kwame Yeboah Junior, the GAUA-KNUST President, urged administrators to be abreast of modern trends to efficiently perform.
