The Ghana Law School currently sited in the heart of the Accra metropolis is to relocate to a new site at Oyarifa in the Ga District.

This has been made possible with the donation of a 10 acres of land to the judicial service by Hon. Nii Mensah Okpoti Kodia, the Assemblyman for Oyarifa, Teiman and Konkpo electoral area in the Ga District.

Speaking to the Free Press in an interview, Nii Kodia said this was part of a track of land he has earmarked for other social facilities to develop Oyarifa into a satellite city. Nii Kodia said he has also donated 10 plots to the Madina and Ayi Mensah police to build quarters for their personnel.

Other facilities Nii Kodia has also donated include lands for area market, car park and toilets for the Oyarifa community, 25 plots, a hospital and staff quarters, six plots and 10 plots for a school complex. He stated that these facilities would serve other communities outside his electoral area such as Ayi Mensah, Amrahia, Amanfro Frafraha, etc.

He intimated that when he became the assemblyman in 2002 he realized that Oyarifa was lacking in development and started to initiate projects to enhance the social standing of the twon. His first project, he said was the provision of a community centre at the cost of ¢78 million.
