Akrofuom (Ash), April 27, GNA - The Adansi Traditional Council has set up an advisory board to investigate the causes of all chieftaincy disputes within the Adansi state with a view to seeking permanent solutions to them.

Mr Kwabena Appiah-Pinkrah, the Member of Parliament for Akrofuom, said as a first step the board had put in place mediation teams to initiate action on the resolution of the disputes. He said this at the People's Assembly held by the Adansi South District Assembly at Akrofuom.

The installation of divisional chiefs at Dompoase, Akrokerri, Bodwesango, Ayaase and Akrofuom had been stalled due to disputes. The MP said arrangements were also advanced to get the youth in the area to become financially self-sufficient by going into pepper farming and the President's Special Initiative (PSI) on cassava.

Mr D.A.K. Yeboah, Acting District Chief Executive for Adansi South, mentioned a number of development projects that had been executed in the district, including the extension of telephone facilities to New Edubiase, upgrading of the Health Centre to a District Hospital and the construction of an experimental school at New Edubiase.
