The Necessity Of Prayer

Prayer is not an exercise in futility. It is a believer's conversation with his/her heavenly Father. God speaks to us primarily from His Word (the Bible). We as His children speak to Him in prayer. Do you find your time with your earthly father boring and useless? If children would give up everything to have a five minute of fellowship and conversation with their earthly fathers, why would they ignore their time with the heavenly Father? How effective is your prayer life?

A spiritual leader who has an aversion for prayer is a contradiction in terms. That person is set for a great fall that would bring disaster to the Body of Christ.

I tell my students that if they have an aversion for prayer then, they should stay far away from spiritual leadership. The reason is simple. They would soon become casualties of spiritual warfare and they would bring much hurt and harm to the Body of Christ due to their lack of prayer. Prayer is the most effective weapon in the universe.
