KOSA 1992/1994 supports KPASEC

Kpando, March 12, GNA - The 1992/1994 Year Group of Kpando Old Students Association (KOSA) has handed over a 24-seater water closet facility to the girls' dormitory of the Kpando Senior High School (KPASEC).

The facility, estimated at GH¢ 215,000 comes with a hand washing equipment and replaced a dilapidated KVIP.

Mr Cornelius Komlaga, President, KOSA 1992/1994 Group, said the initiative was to give a decent place of convenience to the female students and improve sanitation in the school.

"As proud products of this school, we learnt of the insanitary condition of the KVIP and pooled resources to address the situation," he said.

Mr Komlaga said his Year Group had taken notice of other challenges of the School and appealed to other Year Groups to join "Mother KOSA" to make their alma mater the best.

Mama Klomateng II, Headmistress of the School said the facility would serve about 1,000 female students and described it as timely.

She appealed for new classroom blocks, dining hall, assembly hall and library to accommodate the growing student population.

Mr John Teku, former Director of Education, Kpando, commended the Old Students for the gesture and said the "Ghana Education Service is grateful to you for dignifying your alma mater."

In a related development, the KPASEC installed Mr Eric S. Kutortse, an Entrepreneur, as the Development Chief of the School.

The honour was in appreciation of Mr Kutortse's contribution to the infrastructural and academic progress of the School.

Mr Kutortse, a former student of the had provided bitumen surfacing to roads in the School and offered full scholarship to 37 students.
