The Anglican Young People’s Association gives back to the community with its show of love and support to patients and inmates of the Princess Louise Children hospital in Accra.

The group embarked on a clean-up exercise in and around the hospital premises and donated items to facility.

The group, which replicated this exercise in six different hospitals in Accra intends to make this an annual ritual.

Grouped in six different zones members of the Anglican Young People’s Association visited the Kaneshie Polyclinic, Ussher Clinic, La General Hospital, Legon Hospital, Princess Marie Louise Hospital as well as the Tema General Hospital.

The Accra Diocesan Council members of the Association embarked on clean-up exercises across these health facilities.

The exercise forms part of the churche’s social responsibility to give back to the society.

The youth also undertook a clean-up exercise and weeding of the surroundings of the Children's Ward prior to the presentation of the items and cash

The Association also donated items including toiletries, detergents provisions among others to support these hospitals.

The Diocesan President of Anglican Young Peoples Association, Calvin Bruce Attuquayefio who led the group to present the items to the hospital said the gesture formed part of activities marking the association’s Founders Week Celebration observed in February annually.

The AYPA is a fellowship of young adults within the Anglican Church of Ghana.

The exercise forms part of an annual week-long activities for the founder of the Anglican Young People’s Association, Bishop Aruna Kojo Nelson.
