All protocols observed

  • It is exciting to finally see Chris Challenge take off after months of planning and engagements. Before I explain what the Challenge is all about, permit me to share my story with you.
  • Ladies and gentlemen, I started training at the gym at the age of 15 during my first year in technical school Modern college of science and Technology, Awutu Breku.
  • During vacations, it became a ritual for me to go around automobile repair shops in Accra to scavenge for car rims. Why did I undertake this exercise? My aim at that time was to setup a gym in my hometown Awutu Breku because I had the interest in bodybuilding.
  • Due to my keen interest, I read magazines, newspapers and watched television shows to know more about bodybuilding. By the grace of God and by dint of hard work, I was able to setup the gym and it became very popular in my hometown.
  • A lot of people came to the gym to train; I gained a lot of experience, but I still saw myself as a local champion and thought I could do more. Ladies and gentlemen, to expand the gym and be more professional, I sought to travel abroad in 2003 for greener pastures, but I was deceived several times by so-called connection men.
  • For fear of people calling me a failure, I could not go back to my hometown; so I lived in Accra for two years doing nothing. The interesting part was that my parents thought I was living in the United States of America.
  • One day, while I was walking on the streets of Accra, a lady saw me and said 'gentleman you look like a model'. I looked at her and ask myself what is a model?
  • On top of her voice, she said there was a competition coming on, so, if I wanted to join she was ready to help me participate; this was in 2005. The lady bought me the forms and I took part in the first male pageant in the country.
  • I auditioned among over 500 guys, and I was picked by the late Kofi Ansah, the renowned Ghanaian fashion designer (may his soul rest in peace) to join the 20 finalists.
  • Ladies and gentlemen, we were groomed at the Aviation Social Center, and there I met this guy called Charles; he was then doing a personal training certification course in bodybuilding.
  • Because of my love for the sports, he called me to assist him at the African Regent Hotel as a gym instructor.
  • After some weeks, he told me he was going on a two weeks leave, so I would have to manage the place while he was away. And guess what? After that period, the owners of the gym would not let me leave because clients praised me for my good work at the gym.
  • Ladies and gentlemen, I can say with much pride that the local champion is now global champion. I have upgraded myself; undertaken a lot of fitness and nutrition courses.
  • I have trained more than 70,000….from the year 2008 to 2016 people including some well-known celebrities Ex-president Kuffour, American musician Eve, Airline crew like KLM, BA, TAP air, corporate bodies among others. I also modeled alongside and became the face of big companies both locally and internationally.

So, what is Chris Challenge all about?

  • I setup the Fitness Freak Consult three years ago. The aim then was and as it still stand is to provide a total wellness and fitness guidance through advice and personal training to clients. The primary target are all persons including children. Some of you may ask why children?
  • Well, fitness is not restricted to a group of people. Everyone needs to engage in one fitness routine or another. Another thing is that no one has an excuse not to exercise; as wherever you find yourself you can do something even by using your own bodyweight.
  • Chris Challenge is a TV reality show which will feature celebrities to engage them on one-on-one personal training to show the public the right thing to do when it comes to workout.
  • Some people go the gym not knowing their health status and end up doing the wrong thing. Others also go to the gym to train to get well or fit but because most of them don't know what to do, their gym instructors end up taking them through the wrong routines.
  • As a fitness Coach, I have observed and noticed these mistakes, so I decided to introduce Chris Challenge to educate the public. The inclusion of the celebrities is strategic. These celebrities have a large following and in using them, they can influence the much needed attitudinal change.

Any criteria to be on Chris Challenge?

  • Well, you have to be accessed by our medical experts depending on what kind of workout you are going to be engaged in; that is whether you want to build muscle, lose weight for medical reasons or tone your muscle.
  • After the assessment by the health experts, interested participants will then be advised on the kind of workout which is suitable for them. If you have to do a strength training a physiotherapist will access you; if u want to lose weight for any medical reasons a medical doctor will do the assessment; if you want to be fit and manage your weight a dietician will advise on what to eat.
  • Through our Chris Challenge, we hope to impact and encourage a lot more people to take basic exercises seriously. We also hope to go beyond TV and engage people one-on-one and in groups in open workout sessions. The programme will be aired on UTV.
  • Ladies and gentlemen, health and fitness keeps our body and mind healthy and peaceful. It brings the feeling of well-being physically, mentally, spiritually and socially.
  • I urge Ghanaians to be more conscious towards their health. Yes, it is quite a tough task, however, it is not impossible for anybody to achieve a perfect body.
  • Being healthy and fit require some tips to be followed daily and it comes with full dedication. There are many people in this crowd who want to be the ideal person with a perfect body. But that does not come in just a day. However, that can be achieved by starting now and the Fitness Freak Consult is here to assist you achieve this.
  • Ladies and gentlemen, in ending, I have come this far by the assistance of some people and I wish to thank everyone who has invested in me. I am also grateful to all who have supported the dream of Fitness Freak Consult.
  • Medase!!
