State of the nation's address is a constitutional ritual which enjoins the President to address the Ghanaian people on the state of the nation as and when needs be Reference article 67(Article 67 of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana states; “The President shall, at the beginning of each session of Parliament and before a dissolution of Parliament, deliver a message on the state of the nation”.)

On the 21st of February Ghana witnessed the first state of the nation Address of the Akuffo-Addo government. This address was to inform the Ghanaian people about the state of the nation as the NDC Government left it.

This address delivered by the president encompassed various sectors of the Economy, Agriculture, health (NHIS), Education, Sanitation, sports etal. ..

But the question comes with the conflicting ideologies of the two main political parties.

Yes The NPP Government after the address hailed it as the BEST address ever reflecting the true STATE of the NATION whiles Giving HOPE to the Ghanaian people to make things Better.

The Opposition on the other hand Called The ADDRESS an EXAGGERATED one which does not reflect the True STATE OF THE NATION as the former President John Dramani Mahama left it.

They went ahead to backlash the The President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo for not giving credit to the DEVELOPMENTAL PROWESS of their Government.

Public opinion about this also revealed the varying views of the two main POLITICAL PARTIES.

Although this is expected, I shudder at the lack of OBJECTIVITY of this Matter ...As a country clocking the age of 60, we cannot call a spade a spade but cover up because of One's POLITICAL AFFILIATION...

Is about time we become
OBJECTIVE no matter our political affiliation...The future of Ghana lies in our hands

#LongliveGhana
#OBJECTIVITYisKEY
God Bless Our homeland Ghana and Make our nation Great and Strong

(Her Excellency)
