Anuwar-Sadat Amadu (Prince) is a young entrepreneur, youth activist/politician and a writer who is endowed with matchless grace from God in developing and inspiring people to be great speakers, realize their dreams and know exactly who they are. He was born on 8th March, 1989 to Mr. Amadu Salifu Mwini-Balonno (a Farmer & Contractor) and Madam Hawa Adams Anaaba (a Teacher of blessed memory). He is from Jang in the Nadowli District of the Upper West region of Ghana.

Sadat was born into a larger Ghanaian political family. His paternal grandfather is Mr. Jato Kaleo, whiles his maternal grandfather is Alhaji B. K. Adama; who were both great figures in the development of the United Party (UP) and, subsequently, the Progress Party (PP), and now the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Early Life
He started his early education in Wa at St. Andrews Roman Catholic Nursery, Primary, Junior Secondary School (J.H.S) and later moved to one of Northern Ghana’s most celebrated Secondary Schools, Nandom Secondary School (NANSEC), formally St. Michael’s Minor Seminary. After secondary school, he came back to Wa and enrolled into Salcomp’s Systems & trading Enterprise where he learned Computer Software and Hardware. He later taught computer software programs after completion.

Education
Prince Sadat holds a Bachelor of Commerce – Accounting (B.COM (Hons)) from the University of Cape Coast and is currently a student of the Institute of Chartered Accountants [Ghana]. Other certificates to his credit includes; a Certificate in Accounting Software Application (Tally), a Certificate in Investment, Planning, Entrepreneurship & Corporate Excellence and a Certificate in Office Suite & Hardware.

Career
For the past several years, I have worked in lead Sales, Accounting, Information Technology, and Customer Service roles in industry. He has a track record of maintaining a consistent performance and always wants to be at the top. He is currently a Customer Experience Specialist with one of Ghana’s leading telecommunications network, Vodafone Ghana. He had previously also worked for Fidelity Bank Ltd. as a Smart Sales Ambassador, NASVIC Enterprise as an Accountant, GoldEdge Ghana Ltd. as a Research Assistant and Glico Life Insurance Co. Ltd. as a Sales & Marketing Executive. He also undertook his National Service duty at the Afigya Kwabre District Assembly as an Assistant Internal Audit in Kodie, Kumasi in 2011/2012.

Leadership
His leadership qualities began to show up at St. Andrews J.H.S where he contested and won the Compound three (3) Prefect in his final year and used his good office to champion the development of sanitation and sports. At Nandom Secondary School (NANSEC), he held several positions which include the Regional Treasurer – Business Club (U/W), Regional Treasurer – Mathematics Club (U/W), Secretary – Civic Club, Secretary – Africa Youth Peace Call, Vice Treasurer – Debating Club. He was also the GNUPS local President of Wa polytechnic 2010/2011, a member of the institution’s Academic Board 2010/2011, a General Assembly member 2008 – 2010 and a TESCON Secretary 2009/2010.

Achievements & Awards
Sadat was recently decorated with the Rising Star award at the Vodafone Experience Centre 2nd Quarter 2016/2017 Rewards & Recognition. Others include:

  • Overall Best Customer Experience Executive (Vodafone Ghana) - September, 2016
  • Best Customer Experience Executive (Vodafone Ghana) – 6th runner-up (August, 2016)
  • Overall Best Smart Sales Ambassador (Ashanti Region) for the Month of May, 2015
  • Best Fidelity Smart Sales Ambassador – 3rd runner-up (National) for the Month of May, 2015
  • Coordinator of Smart Sales Ambassadors aligned to Fidelity Branches (Ashanti Region)
  • Overall University of Cape Coast Best Student – Commercial & Corporate Law, 2013
  • Overall University of Cape Coast Best Student – Management Information Systems, 2012
  • Established a Radio Station as GNUPS Representative of Wa Polytechnic
  • Won a Bronze Medal as a Basketball player for Wa Polytechnic at the GHAPSA 2010 games held at Ho polytechnic.

He speaks fluently, English, Twi, Waale & Dagaare, and basic French, Hausa & Fante

Personal Life
Anuwar-Sadat Amadu is married to Hamida Shaibu since 7th April, 2013. He has one son ('Dr.’ Mubashir) and is a devoted Muslim.

On the social side, Sadat is a very jovial and outgoing personality who loves listening to music and surfing the internet as a foremost form of entertainment; and watching sports during his leisure hours. Naturally, as a royal Prince, he enjoys living in the palace as he liked the humanities, tradition and culture. In his quiet moments, he loves to reading and very adept at memorizing the scriptures and quotations. He is as well a progressive thinker and respect each person’s space & values.
