Mr Joseph Connel the reinstated headmaster of St. Augustine's College Cape Coast (AUGUSCO), who is a member of APSU class of 1979 has lauded the remarkable role played by the Union, the Board of Governors and the PTA in getting him reinstated.

He made this known at a Special Thankgiving Mass held at the College Assembly Hall on Sunday, January 22, 2017.

Fr. Patrick Godfred Appiah, the College Chaplain celebrated the Mass which was under the distinguished patronage of the College Patron (Most Rev. Mathias Nketsiah).

The event was specifically organised to offer Connel an opportunity to thank stakeholders for their support.

APSU played the lead role in getting the unfair and unpopular decision by the GES reversed, through a number of interventions.

Connel was reinstated in December 2016, after having been on interdiction since October 14, 2016.

Many APSUnians, well-wishers, members of the Governing Board, PTA, Staff and Students attended the event.

Notable among them was Mr Samuel Seddoh, APSU 1955, a former headmaster of the College between 1969 to 1976.

APSU is eternally grateful to all for making the Thankgiving Mass a huge success. Omnia vincit labor
