Accra April 4, GNA- A 26-year-old trader, Naomi Adabo, who hit her rival with a log resulting in a head injury and a fracture on the left shoulder, was put before a Circuit Court in Accra on Monday charged with causing harm.

With her in the dock was Kweku Asiedu, her boyfriend, who was also charged with assault.

Naomi and Aseidu pleaded not guilty but the court remanded them into prison custody to reappear on April 11.

The case of prosecuting Chief Inspector Peter Benni was that Asiedu was married to Ms Ama Aboagyewa with two children.

The Prosecutor said Aseidu was also staying with Naomi, who is a rival to Ms Aboagyewa.

On January 25, this year, Ms Aboagyewa was not feeling well, therefore, decided to look for Asiedu her husband, to collect some money to go to hospital.

Prosecution said Ms Aboagyewa spotted Asideu in a car heading towards Ablekumah so she boarded a car and followed him to a house, which happened to be that of Naomi.

Chief Inspector Benni said, when Aseidu saw Ms Aboagyewa in the house, Asiedu became furious, pounced on her and assaulted her. Asiedu, who was not satisfied with the act, invited Naomi to order Ms Aboagyewa to leave the house, which she did but Aboagyewa ignored her.

Naomi took a log and hit Ms Aboagyewa on her head and right shoulder.

A Good Samaritan rescued Ms Aboagyewa who bled profusely and sent her to the hospital.

A report was made to Police at Anyaa and Naomi and Asiedu were arrested.
