Assemblies of God Church ordains reverend ministers

Akim Oda (E/R), Jan. 17, GNA - The Assemblies of God Church, Eastern Region 'B', has held its Annual Regional Council Meeting during which three pastors were ordained as reverend ministers.

The ordained ministers are Reverend Isaac Kofi Kraw of Osenase, Rev. George Roosevelt Yamoah of Owurem and Rev. Solomon Sarkodie from Ayirebi all in the Eastern Region.

Rev. Dr Paul Frimpong Manso, the General Superintendent of the Church, who performed the ordination on the theme: 'Liberty in the Spirit (2 Cor 3:17)' said the world was liberated by God from bondage.

He said in order for mankind to attain true liberation in spirit, there was the need for Christians to be conscious of their way of life and to worship God, evangelise and serve Him alone.

He urged the reverend ministers to be holy in their ways of doing things so that they would be filled with the Holy Spirit to perform their ministerial functions without any blemish.

Rev. Frimpong Manso said the Assemblies of God Church had been demarcated into 'A', 'B' and 'C' in the Eastern Region and that it was the second time the Regional Council Meeting was being held at Akim Oda.

He said pastors and delegates were drawn from the Eastern Region 'B' churches at Kade, Asamankese, Achiase and other towns to the meeting.

The newly ordained ministers received certificates and were sworn into office.

Present at the ceremony was Rev. David Frimpong Boateng, the Eastern Region 'B' Superintendent.
