Parliament Ready To Form Committees-majority Chief Whip

The Majority Chief Whip Hon. Kwasi Ameyaw Cheremeh says Parliament is ready to set up emergency committees to fast track government businesses in the house.

This according to Hon. AmeyaeCheremeh, who is also MP for Sunyani East, the procedures available to set up parliamentary committees shall be followed strictly.

He disclosed this to Space fm Morning Flight show in sunyani.He noted that the selection committee of parliament is responsible to constitute appointment committee and business committee. Business committee, he will be responsible for program business for the house and that committees needs to be formed as early as possible.

The appointment committee is also necessary because when the President nominates various people for positions, the appointment committee has to sit down and deliberate.

He added that these urgent committees are part of standing orders. Hon. Ameyaw Cheremeh observed that Parliament has commenced its work the manner it supposed to be.
