Three teenagers remanded for defilement

Cape Coast March 30 GNA- Three teenagers including a student at the Odoben Secondary School in the Central Region, who allegedly defiled a 15-year old girl, were on Wednesday remanded in prison custody by the Cape Coast Circuit Court.

Aaron Gyesi, 17, the student, Seth Oppong, 15 and Eric Kofi Addo Koranteng, 18, pleaded not guilty and would re-appear on April 13, while a bench warrant has been issued for the arrest of one Kofi Animpong, who is at large.

Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector Augustine Amonoo told the court presided over by Mr Mustapha Logoh, that, the three accused persons invited the victim at 1830 on September 16 last year and sexually abused her.

Chief inspector Amonoo said, the victim's parents who had information about the incident questioned their daughter who narrated her ordeal leading to the arrests of the three accused persons.
