Ghana, the Star of Africa has had its reputation dented (locally and internationally) under the eight (8) years rule of the National Democratic Congress.

Ghana, since independence was ranked one of the noblest countries in Africa and the world. The moral upbringing and the cultural values of Ghanaians was one characterized by respect, obedience and self-determination. However, the image and the glory of Ghana started diminishing on the eve of the Electoral Commission's declaration of NDC's victory in the 2008 election.

The eight years reign of the NDC was characterized by political insolence, excessive borrowing, corruption and political degradation which was known to the world hence tainting the nation's hard-earned reputation which our forefathers toiled for us.

The NDC which used the youth as its campaign hub in the 2008 election, centered their political message on propaganda, insults and image assassination to win the trust of Ghanaians.

After the victory of the NDC, the leading young propagandists such as Okudjato Ablakwa, Fiifi Kwartey, Omane Boamah, Haruna Iddrisu etc were given much space at the party's front line politics hence propaganda and unhealthy political attitudes became attractive to the youth in NDC - the more you insult, the higher position you climb.

We are all witnesses to how the NDC youngsters and their leaders painted the image of the NPP and its flagbearer before and aftermath of the 2008 elections. "17 thieves have gathered at Legon to select the master thief" - Asiedu Nketia.

In Ghanaian politics, many are those who accord Nana Akomeah - the NPP Communication Director with much respect but Felix Ofosu Kwakye was able to tell Nana Akomea this "you have betrayed your intelligence" Not only the opposition leaders were insulted. Mr. Asiedu Nketia called former President Rawlings - the founder of the NDC "a barking dog".

Tribal and ethnic insinuations as well as verbal attack on many religious and traditional leaders was much pronouncing in the eight years rule of the NDC. Any religious leader who spoke on the economic mismanagement of the NDC government became enemy to the NDC party. Pastor Dr. Mensah Otabil, Rev. Professor Emmanuel Martey, Prophet Kwabena Tawiah and Prophet Owusu Bempah have suffered a lot from the NDC youngsters whom former President Rawlings named them "babies with sharp teeth".

There is no doubt to the fact that the leadership of the NDC particularly President Mahama was in support of the insults his followers spewed on some Ghanaians.

We recall the Supreme Court contempt charge of the Montie 3 and how President Mahama used his prerogative power to free them. It became clear to the international world that Ghana under President Mahama wasn't a serious state else the Montie trio who threatened the lives of the judiciary wouldn't have been freed.

The victory of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the just ended December7 polls has brought a total change to the political atmosphere and the popular attitude of many Ghanaians especially those who used to rattle as if there was no leader in the country.

The change in the attitude of the political insolent youth have brought a complete decorum to the Ghanaian airwaves. This change is being taken as the first most achievement of H. E. Nana Akufo-Addo even before his swearing in as President of the Republic of Ghana.

H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is locally and internationally known as a man of principles who has no room to tolerate awkward attitudes. Nana Akufo-Addo is a respecter of the law and has devoted himself to the proper functioning of rule of law since his youthful live.

Under the reign of H. E. Nana Akufo-Addo, we are very optimistic of the proper functioning of the laws of Ghana. It is therefore not surprising that the lives of the "gumbe boys" - (Mugabe Maase, Alister, Gunn), Bobbie, Adakabre and others who used to abuse the airwaves have eventually buried their voices.

The unpleasant usage of the media is gradually becoming a thing of the past and Ghanaian are going to witness a reign of a matured leader. Oh yes! Everything in Ghana is pointing to the direction that Ghana now has a leader.
