Three hospitals in Cape Coast register 63 births during Easter

Cape Coast, March 29, GNA - Three hospitals in Cape Coast registered a total of 63 babies, including a set of twins, from Good Friday to Easter Monday.

The Central Region Hospital had 32 babies Cape Coast District Hospital, 17 babies and University of Cape Coast, four babies. Ms Rebecaa Quaidoo, Assistant Principal Midwifery Superintendent in charge of the delivery suite at the Central Region Hospital, told the Monday.

The Sister in Charge of the Cape Coast District Hospital, Ms Veronica Opare said 17 babies were born between Good Friday and Easter Sunday while Mrs Beatrice Okyere, Sister in Charge at the University of Cape Coast Hospital, told the GNA that all the four babies, two girls and two boys, were born on Good Friday.

A drive through Cape Coast on Monday showed that many traders did business as usual in spite of the holiday.
