2017 must be a year of discipline - Rev Agidi
01.01.2017 LISTEN

Ho, Jan. 1, GNA - Reverend Seth Agidi, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Evangelical Presbyterian (EP) Church, has called for discipline among the citizenry in 2017.

He said indiscipline in all sectors of the economy had derailed the progress of the country and called for a change in attitude.

Rev Agidi in a New Year message through the Ghana News Agency (GNA) attributed increasing road crashes, perennial flood and fire disasters in the country to indiscipline, which he said must be avoided in the New Year.

He called for support for the new government and charged the citizenry to maintain peace in the country.

Very James Noble Tulasi, Head Pastor, Jubilee Christian Centre, Ho, asked Christians to draw closer to God to maintain His presence to enjoy the best of 2017.

He called for extra hardwork and honesty among the populace for a prosperous year.

Mr Benjamin Kpodo, Member of Parliament for Ho Central, at a watch-night service at Takla E.P Church commended the electorate for the peaceful conduct of the December polls and reiterated his commitment to the rapid socio-economic development of the area.

He reassured that the Ho Barracks-Kpenoe road would be fixed.

Meanwhile, thousands thronged churches in the Ho Municipality for watch-night services to welcome the New Year.

All churches visited by the GNA were full with many worshipers observing proceedings outside the auditoriums.

The streets and drinking bars were empty.
