Are Our Pyramids Really A Pride Of Africa?

Feature Article Are Our Pyramids Really A Pride Of Africa?
DEC 17, 2016 LISTEN

There has been too much talk and a lot of pride shown by Africans for the pyramids of Egypt. Much as their construction is undoubtedly a magnificent and superior engineering feat, including of course their longevity etc. A structure as high as 140 meters and 230 meters of a side length, and as far back as in the era "Before Christ" (BC and still existing)! My concern however is with the purpose for which they were built. To the best if my knowledge, they were built as tombs for the Egyptian Pharaohs (Kings).

How does its purpose measure up? All that to bury the a Pharaoh (King) for their body to be preserved "forever". Preserved for what? Please enlighten me as we face facts too here. How powerful was any dead person , compared to their lifetime. Or if was something like an ex-gratia award, then was it not too much, considering also that it was a posthumous award! And comparing the average status of an Egyptian in that era, was such an award fair?

The building of it had to employ a lot of labor, either slave-labor or paid-labor; one cannot overlook the biblical "EXODUS" story of Israelites who were enslaved for so many years in Egypt, and had to leave through the intervention of their God Jehovah, the ten plagues, the miraculous parting and crossing of the Red Sea, killing of the Pharaoh and government, etc.

With the mention of slave labor, an explanation by the white-slavery critics about the labor situation then. Since the Egyptians are Africans, who were their slaves or paid laborers! And all this investment for the sake of a DEAD king! How would a dead Pharaoh help the advancement of Egypt or Africa? As this is considered, let us see if this preservation knowledge could not have been directed to food instead of a dead body!

Anyway, and to our experts in Egyptology, African history, African religion, etc, was it believable that the mummified bodies could be helpful to Egypt, but God with his bible is a myth/hoax and a fairy tale to these same intellectuals! I am still assuming, without admiting that Black Africans are more connected/related to Egypt than the Whites.
