Dagaabas and Frafras vie for puppy

Techiman, (B/A) March 22, GNA - The Dagaaba and Frafra Youth of Techiman have as part of the Easter festivities planned to play a friendly football match on March 28 this year. The Dagaabas hail from the Upper West Region while the Frafra are from the Upper East Region and have an ancestral relationship.

Mr. Thomas Akolgo, Chairman of the two ethnic groups told the GNA Sports that the encounter is aimed at maintaining the long existing solidarity between the two ethnic groups.

He said a puppy had been put at stake as the trophy for the eventual winner.

Mr. Akolgo said it is expexted that the puppy would be groomed and put at stake during the second competition next year.

He called on all sports enthusiasts as well as the Dagaaba and Frafra youth in the Techiman Municipality to come and cheer their teams to victory.
