Focus On Developmental Issues, Ghanaian Community In China Urges

29.11.2016 LISTEN
By Ghanaian Community, China

Ghanaian Community in China wishes to condemn unreservedly recent spate of unguided statements coming from various political leaders, political sympathizers and religious heads and with the run up to the election. We have observed that tribal and ethnocentric speeches are being used to coerce some tribes to vote in a certain direction. This divisive and defeatist approach will not win any political party power since Ghanaians are widely awake and shall vote base on developmental issues propagated by the aspiring candidates.

The Community is saddened by such effrontery emanating from seasoned journalists and politicians who ought to know better but have rather sold their conscience to the detriment of our dear nation. We are therefore appealing to our civil societies, national peace council and the international community to frown on such uncouth and volatile utterances calculated to score cheap political points.

We believe that those aspiring to steer the affairs of our country should rather inform and educate the electorates their developmental programs and policies because that will be the yardstick on December 4th. The community entreats all voters to listen to the campaign messages of the political parties carefully and make an informed decision and cast their vote accordingly. Vote against candidates who preaches divisiveness to send an indelible signal that Ghanaians cannot be taken for a ride. The community pleads with all the political parties to ensure decent campaign devoid of hate speeches, personal vilifications and malignancy but issues bordering on employment, education, health, infrastructure and security.

In another development, the community wishes to inform traders and businessmen/women who ply their business in China that, Chinese New Year Holiday begins on 28th January, 2017 and most factories will not take ‘big’ orders fifty days to the break. You are therefore informed to place your orders during the early days of December to avoid unnecessary delays.

LONG LIVE GHANA!
