Sterling International Ltd Wins Two Platinum Awards

Sterling International Ltd won two additional Platinum awards in Auto-Industrial coating division of the recent 26th Export Excellence Award organized by the Ghana Export Promotion Authority for two consecutive years, in 2014 and 2015.

This was in recognition of the Company’s impressive performance by bringing in foreign earnings of USD 29,503,995.00 (Twenty –Nine Million, Five Hundred and Three Thousand, Nine Hundred and Ninety Five United States Dollars) as a part of the export proceeds for 2014 and 2015.

Sterling International Limited is the largest manufacturer and leading exporter of Automotive refinish, Industrial, Marine, Protective and other coating related products to almost all countries in West and Central Africa.

The Company was highly commended for consistency in its performance since the inception of the company by winning top Export Excellence Awards for highest exports to neighboring countries.

The Executive Director of the company, Mr Arun Patil and a Director Mr. Chris-Arcmann Ackummey, who received the Platinum awards for 2014 and 2015 respectively on behalf of Sterling International Ltd, thanked the organizers for the honor and promised that the Company would continue to provide quality and innovative paints products to its clients.

The ceremony was held at the Banquet Hall of State House in Accra on 2nd November 2016 under the patronage of President of Ghana Mr. John Dramani Mahama. Dignitaries present included members of the Council of State, Ministers of State, Parliamentarians, Members of Diplomatic Corps, Traditional Rulers, Heads of Private/ Public Organizations, and the general exporting community.

Awardees were selected based on data collected from the repatriation of foreign currency (export earnings) details from banking system in Ghana, Bank of Ghana, Ministry of Trade & industry, Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ghana Revenue Authority (Customs Division), Federation of Association of Ghanaian Exporters, Ghana Community Network, Ministry of Food & Agriculture and Association of Ghana Industries.

This was the 26th President’s National Awards Ceremony organized by the Ghana Exports Promotion Authority to confer awards on deserving exporters for their contribution to the economic development of Ghana through the exports of non-traditional products.

The Awards Ceremony does not only celebrate and motivate but also encourages entrepreneurs to shift focus onto non –traditional exports so as to diversify the Ghana’s export base for sustenance of the economy.
