Accra, March 3, GNA - Dr Richard Anane, Minister of Road Transport, on Thursday stressed on the need for Ghana and Guinea to deepen their bilateral relations in trade and transportation for their mutual benefit.

He noted that improved mass transportation, swift coastal maritime movement as well as an efficient aviation system would largely facilitate trade and attract investment.

Dr Annane said this when the El Hadji Mamadou Falilou Bah, Guinea Ambassador to Ghana, called on him in Accra.

The discussion focused on how best the two countries could share ideas and revive bilateral relations for effective cooperation.

Dr Anane noted that effective mass transportation system would result in high productivity thereby bring about economic progress. Mr Falilou Bah said the two countries had a lot in common and it was imperative to strengthen cooperation to take advantage of the opportunities available to them.

He said they would meet to further discuss technical issues bordering on their cooperation to solicit political push.
