Kpasa (V/R), Oct. 24, GNA - The Nkwanta North District Directorate of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), has intensified public education on the December 7 elections with a forum for people living with disabilities (PWDs) and first time voters.

Speaking at a forum, the District Director of NCCE, Nkwanta North, Mr Fuseini Nurudeen said like any other person, the PWDs had the right to vote and be part of the decision making process.

He urged the PWDs to follow the voting steps, which include joining the queue, checking their names, going through biometric verification, among others.

They must also be civil in their utterances and accept each other views or suggestions.

Addressing the first time voters, Mr Nurudeen said it was important for them to exercise their franchise and be part of decision making process since they were 18 years and above.

Mr Nurudeen urged them to follow the voting steps and also clean their fingers well when voting.

He said they should not wear party T-shirts, and avoid campaigning on the day of voting and be decorous in their language and accept each other's suggestions.

Meanwhile, the NCCE had also held similar sessions with Faith Base Organisations where Mr Nurudeen spoke about the need for tolerance and peace.

The churches visited include ECG Israel Assembly Church at Barrier Community in Kpassa, and the Church of Pentecost.
