Nana Akufo-Addo signing Confidence’s condolence book on Thursday

NANA ADDO Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, has expressed sadness over the death of Confidence K. Baah.

Confidence, 36, was a household name in the media in Kumasi, where he worked with Kessben TV and radio, until his shocking death on Sunday.

Nana Akufo-Addo, who is in the Ashanti Region to campaign, visited Kessben FM at Adum to sign a book of condolence in honour of the dead journalist on Thursday.

The NPP leader was accompanied by the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, Bernard Antwi Boasiako aka ‘Wontumi’ and other party gurus.

News of Nana Akufo-Addo’s visit to Kessben FM on Thursday morning, attracted huge crowd to the station’s premises to catch a glimpse of him.

Nana Akufo-Addo, who was in a pensive mood after signing the condolence book, expressed concern about the rate at which some talented youth with a bright future had died in the country.

He said people like Confidence, who had made an indelible mark in the media landscape, could have played key roles to transform the country had he stayed alive.

Nana Akufo-Addo used the occasion to pray fervently for God’s protection and guidance for journalists in the country before, during and after the December 7 elections.
