Court remands a 28-year-old man for aiding armed robbery

Tema, March 02, GNA - The Tema Circuit Court 'B', has remanded a 28- year-old man into prison custody for allegedly providing his car, arms and ammunition to armed robbers to facilitate their work. Dela Anyigba who pleaded not guilty would reappear on March 3. Police Chief Inspector Edith Nutakor told the Court presided over by Mr Stephen Teye, that the Police had information that the accused person was aiding and abetting armed robbery in Accra and Tema. She said on January 7, this year, Anyigba offered his saloon car to some armed robbers led by one Prince Tamakloe who died in a Police shoot out in Tema after robbing a Petrol filling station. Chief Inspector Nutakor said accused was arrested after a tip off.
