Ghana will this year, host the second "Annual Internal Business and Investment Conference", an Africa-America partnership event designed to promote international trade linkages, business opportunities and International markets.

The four-day conference, where about 200 business delegates from West Africa and the United States are expected to participate will proceed in Accra from February 23-26.

Speaking at a press briefing, the executive director of African Connections, Dr Ayesha Hakeem, described the conference as an event to seek and promote trade relationships between the United States and West Africa.

She indicated that the events would introduce entrepreneurs to new international markets and will also offer participants the opportunity to exhibit their goods and market services to promote African trade.

Mrs Hakeem added that the conference is expected to attract business opportunities worldwide leading to long-term joint venture investments in the West African sub-region.

The conference is however conducted by African Connections, an organisation dedicated to linking Africans to develop co-operative business ventures and encourage international trade missions, conferences and exhibitions.
