Ho, Sept. 15, GNA - The Loyal Ladies of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Thursday donated assorted items to the Maternity and Labour Wards of the Ho Municipal Hospital.
The items, estimated at GH¢20, 000, include baby products, maternity gowns, washing powder, toilet rolls and drugs.
Modesta Adjoa Darbo, the Executive Vice President of the Group, who presented the items, said the gesture was to put smile on the faces of mothers at the Hospital during the Yam Festival of the Asogli Traditional Area.
She said it was also to lessen the economic difficulties mothers suffered in accessing health-care.
Madam Florence Patamie, the officer in-charge of the Maternity Ward said the presentation was timely because some mothers were unable to afford diapers and other essential sanitary items.
