Former French Minister to launch hospital partnership

Accra, Feb. 14, GNA - Mr Bernard Kouhner, former French Minister of Health and founder of humanitarian associations among which is, "Doctors Without Borders", arrives on February 16 to launch a partnership between French hospitals and Ghanaian healthcare facilities.

A statement from the French Embassy to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) said the partnership would focus particularly on the fight against HIV/AIDS and better access to medical care.

During his stay, Mr Kouhner would also call on President John Agyekum Kufuor and meet the main stakeholders in the health sector, such as the Ministry of Health, National AIDS Control Programme, Ghana AIDS Commission and representatives of Non Governmental Organisations involved in HIV/AIDS.
