Afransie (C/R), Sept. 1, GNA - Mrs Constance Akuamoah Boateng, the Gomoa East District Director of National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), has said disability cannot be used as an excuse to escape punishment for violent acts.

She, therefore, advised persons living with disability to conduct themselves well in the run up to the elections and thereafter, saying the law would deal with anyone found culpable of disturbing the peace of the nation.

Mrs Akuamoah Boateng gave the advice at a meeting with members of the Ghana Federation of Disability at Afransie in the Central Region.

She, therefore, advised persons with disability to stay away from trouble spots and violent persons.

Mrs Akuamoah Boateng reminded them that the general election would come off on December 7, explaining that Parliament could not pass into law the Expansion of the Transitional Period Bill to enable the election to be conducted on November 7, 2016, as was proposed.

Mr Oti Agyei, the Gomoa East District Chairman of the Ghana Federation of Disability, expressed gratitude to the NCCE for the education. GNA
