Juaso (Ash), Jan 31, GNA - A 14-member Board of Directors for the Juaso Mutual Health Insurance Scheme was inaugurated at the weekend with a call on them to address the problem of financing health care in the country.
Dr Lord Justice Gyamfi-Fenteng, Asante-Akim South District Chief Executive, who inaugurated the board, urged members to work hard to make the scheme a real success in the district. He also urged the people to pay their premium to enable them to enjoy good healthcare.
Mr Owusu Kodua, the scheme manager, explained that the scheme would cover both outpatients and inpatients, hence the need for everybody to join by paying his premium.
Dr Asiedu Bekoe, District Director of Health Services, who is also a member of the board, pledged their preparedness to work diligently to justify the confidence reposed in them.
