Police looks for hit-and-run driver

Suhum (E/R), Jan. 19, GNA - The Suhum Police have embarked on a search for the a hit-and-run driver, who killed a 43-year-old comedian, Hanison Ashinyo, popularly called "Charles Taylor" on the Suhum Ayarkotse road.

A Police source told the Ghana News Agency, on Tuesday that the deceased was walking along the road when the driver knocked him down, killing him on the spot.

The source said the driver abandoned the vehicle in a bush near an old cemetery and bolted.

The body of the deceased has since been buried after a post mortem at the Suhum Government Hospital.
