GNA

Cape Coast, Jan 17, GNA - Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs played a highly spirited game to beat Premier League club, Kumasi King Faisal 1-0 in a friendly footballr match at the Robert Mensah Sports stadium at Cape Coast on Sunday.

The match forms part of preparations organised by Dwarfs towards their participation in the National Middle League. King Faisal parading most of their top players comprising Shilla Illiasu, Kwabena Poku, Eric Gawu, Ben Wilson and Abubakar Kankani dominated the first half.

They forced Dwarfs to play in their own half for most of the time but the defence of Dwarfs ably kept them at bay. The second half saw both sides struggling to carry the day with a ding dong affair until Dwarfs right half back, Felix Sackey who collected a pass gave a diagonal pass to substitute Ekow Aikins to score the match winner with a header in the 82nd minute.

King Faisal realising their prestige and pride was at stake, threw everything into attack and bombarded Dwarf's goal area with with a vanlache of shots but try as they did, they could not find the net until full time.
