06.07.2016 LISTEN

An Evangelist in Charge of Church of Christ - Tema Community 2, John F. Tamakloe has pointed out to Christians that there is an urgent need for all Christians to come together to do things in common to achieve a common goal or perish in their disunity.

The Outspoken Evangelist made this known over the weekend at the official launch of the Rescue Ghana Mission(RGM) at the Church of Christ Nsawam Road -Circle in Accra.

According to the Evangelist, since envelopes are occasionally distributed in the various Churches seeking for financial support towards funerals, same principles should be applied to support the spreading of the gospel in the hinterlands across the country in order to save lost souls.

According to him, he wonder why majority of Christians misinterpret the word 'Autonomous' of the Church and hence conform to it.

There is nothing wrong with autonomous,it is the application that is wrong", the Minister of the gospel stated

He urged all and sundry to come together to contribute their quota towards the noble course of supporting Preachers especially the rural ones.

"If this project fails, then there is no hope for us anymore", he added"

The Evangelist called on the clergy to stress the need to be each other's keeper and to spread the gospel go the unreached places and that was the whole duty of mankind.

For his part, the Director of Village of Hope at Gomoa Fetteh, a Church of Christ Humanitarian Educational Institution, Evangelist Fred Asare reiterated the call for all hands on desk approach in addressing the physical needs of the Ministers of the gospel.

He also added that, it is a call to duty for all Christians since it has a direct consequence in the growth of the Church worldwide.

There was a special fundraising session meant for the seed capital for the Preachers' Support Fund.

In a statement, the President of the Heritage Christian University at Amasaman, Dr. Twumasi Ankrah who was the Special Guest of Honour, advised overseers of the fund to be very mindful of bureaucracy in the course of disbursing the fund since it has the tendency of bringing about hatred among the members.

He also added that, criticism should be well managed to avoid any confusion or misunderstanding.

The Special Guest officially launched the Rescue Ghana Mission Policy Document which contains all the necessary information about the initiative.

In an attendance were Church Elders, Evangelists, Church Leaders, Deacons, members among others
