Aflao, Jan 11, GNA - Kwashie Korwodey, 25, a farmer who planned to raise money through stealing of palm wine to cater for his pregnant wife has been bonded to be of good behaviour for six months.

Korwodey pleaded before the Aflao Circuit, telling the court he needed money from the wine to feed his pregnant wife.

The court bonded him in the sum of 500,000 with a surety to be of good behaviour for six months or in default three months in prison. Police Chief Inspector Pius Cudjoe told the court that on December 15 last year, a witness visited the complainant's palm wine farm and saw the accused with four gallons of fresh palm wine.

He said when the witness challenged him the accused abandoned the wine and fled but he was arrested and handed over to the police.
