Enchi (W/R), Jan. 5, GNA - Mr. Kingsley Ofori Asante, District Chief Executive for Aowin-Suaman, has urged workers of District Assemblies to step-up their productivity to enhance the operations of the Assemblies. He made the call during the presentation of awards to eight workers of the District Assembly and two retired civil servants for their hard work and dedication to duty at an end-of-year get-together organised by the Assembly at Enchi at the weekend.

Mr. Asante noted that, it was only with the active support of workers that District Assemblies would be able to achieve their development aspirations.

He said his administration would not tolerate complacency from the staff and added that those who failed to live up to expectation "will have no place in the administration".

Mr Asante commended the award winners and urged other workers of the Assembly to aim at excellence.

Mr Samuel Donkor, the District Coordinating Director, urged the workers to unite and do away with negative tendencies such as apathy that retarded progress and development.

Each of the award winners received a two-burner gas cooker and a cylinder as their prize.

They include Mr. Stephen Mesu, Mr. Michael Danso, Mr. Samuel Noah, Madam Agnes Gyakebea all of the Administration and Mr. Alfred Affum of the Revenue Section.

Others were Mr. Francis Yeboah, Finance Section, Mr. Peter Paa Kwesi Assan and Madam Mary Donkor of the Environmental Health Department.
