Ghanaian's advised to seek the kingdom of God

Tema, Dec.26, GNA - The Parish Priest of the Christ the King Anglican Church, Sakumono, Reverend John Antonio Nelson, has stressed the need for Ghanaians to continue to trust and seek God's kingdom to ensure a tremendous change in the country's development.

He also advised individuals to have faith in God and avail themselves to him to control their lives so that they shall always see his favour.

The Rev. Minister was delivering the sermon on the theme: "Emmanuel, God is with us" on Saturday at Sakumono to mark the celebration of the birth of Christ.

He said, "a stock-taking of our lives this year could prove that God has been kind to us and stressed the need for all to glorify him for a successful and peaceful election in the country.

He also urged Christians to let the significance of Christmas reflect in their lives and be mindful of Christ messages of peace to love one another.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency, Pastor Moses Mensah, in-charge of the Community one Assemblies of God Church, expressed concern that some Christians, in celebrating Christmas tend to forget that Christ came for a purpose, thus to destroy the work of the devil and save mankind and to serve as an example for for humanity.

He thanked God for seeing the country through a successful election and said it was necessary that Ghanaian's bury their political differences and in unity, support the leadership of the country to move the nation forward.

"Let's think of a future for our young ones and put all our strength in whatever we do today to ensure that they live better in future", he added.
