Accra, Dec. 25, GNA - Christmas celebration looses its significance and value when it was celebrated outside those who are less fortunate and poor in society, Reverend Anibok Hawkson, Resident Pastor of the Rhema Christian Centre International on Friday said.
"The essence of Christmas is about gift, but we have lost its significance as we often celebrate the occasion without having in mind, the poor and less fortunate who do not have," he said.
Speaking at a Carols service and variety entertainment show for church members on the eve of Christmas, Rev. Hawkson indicated that when we were yet sinners and do not have, God gave to us his son Christ Jesus in order for us to have life.
"The birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, therefore, reminds us of the gift that God gave mankind in order that people will have the opportunity to enjoy the fullness of God's abundant blessings," Rev Anibok said.
The Church choir and individual soloists ministered in Christmas and local gospel songs whilst others grazed the occasion with their talents as actors and actresses and dancing.
With agility, children below age of 10 won the admiration of the adults through a series of rhymes, poems, crowing it with a choreography performance.
