Essiama (W/R), Dec. 17, GNA - The Nzema Manle Council has congratulated President Mr. John Agyekum Kufuor on his victory in the December 7 general election.
A message delivered by Awulae Agyefi Kwame II, President of the Council at Essiama on Thursday said: "We the people of Nzema and Nzema Manle Council are very much aware of your achievements in your first term in office".
"We note with pleasure and pride the numerous development projects your administration initiated in Nzema and we are grateful for all that you have done".
Awulae Kwame said the Government must ensure that actual work begins on a number of roads for which contracts have been awarded for a long time now.
He also appealed to the Government to ensure that more roads were constructed especially in cocoa growing areas.
On behalf of the Council, Awulae Kwame commended the government for its all-inclusive administration and said: "This system ensures national unity and total involvement of all in the governance of this country," and expressed the hope that this policy would be sustained in the larger interest of the country.
The Council pledged to continue its cooperation with the Government to enhance the development of Nzemaland.
