Winneba, (C/R), Dec. 15, GNA - Right Reverend Dr. Brew Riverson of the Methodist Church Ghana on Saturday charged Ghanaians to cultivate the spirit of humility to enable them to provide positive and qualitative service to the nation.

He said unless Ghanaians cultivated this important divine quality, which increases the power of fellow-feeling and practice it in their daily lives, they cannot move the nation forward with the speed required.

Rt. Rev. Dr. Brew Riverson was officiating at a church service which preceded the burial of the late Isaac Edward Winful, an Educationist and former member for the Awutu-Effutu-Senya District Public Tribunal at Winneba at the weekend.

Mr Winful, who died at the age of 81 a month ago, left behind eight (8) children and a widow. Before his appointment as a director of education, Mr Winful served the nation in the teaching field for many years and imparted his rich knowledge and experience to thousands of school children and teachers.

Apart from the District Tribunal where he served more than 15 years after his retirement the late Winful was also instrumental in the establishment of St. Paul's Methodist Church Winneba Low Cost Residential area.

Rt. Rev. Brew Riverson told the large congregation well wishers and sympathizers who attended the service the magic wand with which the late Winful discharged the credible service he rendered to various organizations to which he served during his life time was humility and advised members of the church to emulate him.

Speaking at the function, Rt. Rev. Jeremiah A. Morrison, Bishop of the Winneba Diocese of the Methodist Church described Mr Winful's death as a big blow not only to the family and the Methodist Church but the entire nation.

Several dignitaries and organisations paid tribute to Mr Winful. A number of distinguished ministers of religion including, Rt. Rev. J. Yedu Bannerman, Rt. Rev. D.D. Ofori-Rockson and Rt. Rev. Ebe Arthur attended. .
