Enchi (W/R) Dec.13,GNA- Thousands of elated supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) including a number of physically challenged persons, went on a four-hour picnic through the streets of Enchi to celebrate the party's victory in Election 2004.
Accompanied by brass band music, the NPP supporters claded in Party colours were later joined by some supporters of the main opposition National Democratic Congress in the celebration.
The NPP Member of Parliament elect, Mr. Samuel Adu Gyamfi, thanked the people particularly the Muslim community for their massive support and said he would work hard to bring development to the area.
Mr Gyamfi urged the people to stand solidly behind the NPP since the second term of the Party would ensure rapid development in the area.
